Dream and Drive

Carly studied pattern making in Milan. She came home and built lingerie for women who were done dressing for someone else. Ethically handmade, truly size inclusive, vintage inspired. The product was already different. The brand wasn’t saying it.

The challenge

Dream & Drive had strong values and a clear point of view, but the brand wasn’t communicating any of it. When Carly came to us, we found:

  • No clear differentiation in a crowded intimates market
  • Messaging that sounded like every other lingerie brand
  • A mission built around female empowerment that was completely invisible
  • A visual identity that blended in with the rest

Carly knew what made her brand different. Her audience had no way of knowing.

The Insight

The Insight

Most lingerie is designed for someone else’s gaze. Dream & Drive is the rebellion against that. Lingerie as self-love, not performance.

What We Did

  • The original brand had sexy energy. But sexy for who? It was built for external validation, not internal empowerment. So we flipped the lens completely.
  • Colour first. A cooler red became a warmer lipstick red, because there’s a difference between inviting and confident. Paired with nude, plum and peach, the palette creates warmth that doesn’t try too hard.
  • Typography that could carry both weight and play. Serious enough for the conversations that matter, light enough to remember that lingerie is supposed to be fun.
  • A breast-inspired graphic system. Cheeky without being crass. Celebratory without being objectifying. Pattern, watermark, design anchor. Personality that travels across everything.
  • But imagery is where it really landed. Women eating pizza in lingerie. Standing at windows for their own power, not someone else’s view. Sitting with friends. Relaxed. Real. Every shot was centralised around the question ‘what if sexy looked like actually being comfortable in your own skin?’

The system was made to be intentionally simple. Because when the message is the hero, design gets out of the way.

The Results

The brand finally looked like what it always was. A celebration of feminine power, self-love, and the radical act of dressing for yourself.
