The Endeavour Foundation

Endeavour Foundation has been creating opportunities for people living with disability for 75 years. They’re the largest disability employer in Australia, with a team of over 5,000 people working across the country. The mission is clear, the organisation is significant, and the legacy is real. When they came to us, they needed a brand system design that could work consistently across all of it. The brand wasn’t keeping up.

We partnered on

Brand system design and consultation, colour architecture, typography, icon design, layout systems, and social media templates.

The challenge

Endeavour Foundation had recently undergone a rebrand. The bones were there but the system wasn’t.

When they came to us, we found:

  • A visual identity that read as corporate and boardroom-ready, missing the youthfulness needed to connect with their audience
  • 24 colours with no clear primary, accent, or tint logic, and several that failed accessibility standards
  • Typography with no mathematical rules for sizing, leading, tracking, or spacing across the organisation
  • No colour segmentation for departments, meaning no guidance on how the palette worked in practice
  • A logo usage system that was overcomplicated and inconsistent
  • No rollout-ready templates for social, print, or digital communications

The previous agency had developed the bones, however the system was absent meaning it didn’t work in the hands of 5,000 people trying to use it every day.

The Insight

Having a brand and being able to use a brand consistently are two completely different things. At scale, the gap between those two things is enormous. A system that can’t be picked up and used by anyone in the organisation isn’t a system at all.

What we did

We came in as consultants, working alongside their internal team rather than handing over a document and walking away.

  • Colour first. We audited the full palette against accessibility and inclusivity guidelines. Several colours didn’t pass. We deepened key primary tones just enough to meet standards without disturbing the overall palette, subtle enough that the untrained eye wouldn’t notice, but inclusive enough to tick every box. We then reduced 24 colours down to 12, introduced a tint system for variability, built out PMS, CMYK, RGB, and HEX libraries for every colour, and created a clear segmentation system so each department knew exactly which colours belonged to them and how to pair them.
  • Typography came next. We cleaned up the typefaces, introduced a Canva-friendly secondary font for the wider comms team, and built mathematical sizing rules covering leading, tracking, spacing, and hierarchy. The kind of rules that mean anyone in the organisation can make something and have it look right.
  • Logo usage was simplified and pulled back. Less decisions, more consistency.
  • Then the guidelines themselves. We built two versions: one for the brand team with the full depth of the system, and one for the people who just need to know what to grab and go.
  • From there we designed a suite of 20 illustrative icons that finally gave the brand some personality to match its purpose. The team loved them. They commissioned us to develop another 90, building out a full library of 110+ icons across the organisation.
  • We also created layout systems for brochures and flyers their designers could replicate, alongside a full suite of social media templates covering carousels, stories, and posts, with additional colourway treatments for their corporate and business solutions segments.

The Results

A 75-year-old organisation, finally with a brand system built for the scale of its mission. Consistent, confident, and usable across every team, every department, every touchpoint.

The feedback from the Endeavour was “people who believe in your mission will go above and beyond to help you support that mission.“

That’s the work we want to keep doing.
